Punjab United

Punjab United FC Gravesend was founded in 2003 by a group of friends. They started off as a Sunday league team competing in the local grassroots leagues in Kent.

As the club grew on and off the pitch, we decided to push the club and started playing in the competitive Saturday leagues. Once established the club achieved unprecedented back-to-back promotions to reach the 9th tier (step 5) of English Football. The club are currently in the Southern Counties East Premier Division and finished last season mid-table just off the playoff spots. Punjab United have now become one of the most established community clubs in the Borough.

The club has worked hard to establish and foster good community links in the town. As part of the growth of the club we have seen a big increase in the participation in our junior and youth sections.

We now cater for children from the ages of 3 all the way to the under 23’s. The ambition of the club is to ensure football is available to the wider community regardless of their social and ethnic background. We have over 350+ participants and this is growing each year, the club is now based at 3 different locations to support the community demand to play football.
