Sustainability

Sian has held the ISO 14001:2004 standard for 10 consecutive years and as such have demonstrated that objectives and targets laid out in this policies have been met and continual improvement and monitoring has taken place.

Our main contributing factors include Transport of operatives, plant and materials.

    Reduction strategies include:

  • A focus on project carbon reduction planning from the outset.
  • Use of local labor, and local supply chains.
  • Use of minibuses and shared or public transport.
  • Use of fixed static pumps and crawler cranes as opposed to road going plant.
  • Planned conversion to HVO fuel options where possible.
  • Implementation of planned strategies for plant usage e.g. ROTO cranes.
  • Implementation of  planned strategies for shutter re-use.
  • Use of our own modern FORS compliant delivery fleet

Carbon data is managed by our carbon management consultant, ‘Auditel’  who have worked with us over the past year to undertake audited and approved organisational and project baselines.

Reduction plans are now being put in place and monitored against the audited, approved baseline in accordance with PPN 06/21
