Our esteemed manager and owner, Chipie Sian, had the distinct honor of receiving a prestigious community award from Cohesion Plus, presented by the Lord Lieutenant.
This recognition highlights the exceptional work our football club is doing across the entire Gravesham area. Under Chipie's leadership, our club has become a pillar of the community, fostering unity and inclusivity through sport. We are incredibly proud of the impact we've made, from youth development programs to outreach initiatives that bring people together. This award is a testament to our commitment to making a positive difference, and we are grateful for the continued support from our community.
As a football club deeply rooted in our community, we take great pride in giving back through various acts of service, also known as "sewa." This commitment to sewa extends beyond the football field, reflecting our dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of those around us.
One recent example of our community involvement is our work at the Gravesend Gurdwara, our local temple, which holds a special place in the hearts of many of our members. When the Gurdwara faced unfortunate damage to its glass barriers and fountains at the front of the temple due to high winds, we knew we had to step in and help. Our club members and volunteers came together to assist in the rebuilding and restoration efforts, ensuring that the Gurdwara could quickly return to its serene and welcoming state.
This project was more than just a repair job for us; it was an opportunity to give back to a place that has given so much to the community. By lending our hands and resources, we aim to uphold the values of unity, compassion, and service that are central to both our club and our cultural heritage. We believe that acts of sewa strengthen the bonds within our community and demonstrate the power of collective effort.
